Go Slow – Tei Shi
My favorite parts in this song are the breathy halinghing that remind me of a less energetic Robyn or a funkier Moira De La Torre.
You Get What You Give – New Radicals
I found this song in a friend’s playlist called “Notes To Self.” This song is a good pick-me-upper (don’t let go / you got the music in you) but I usually just listen to it when I’m pulling an all-nighter and I need to stay awake.
Yahoo – Imago
I don’t think I would listen to Imago’s Effect Desired None if not for rAdishhorse’s album review. “Yahoo” isn’t really my favorite track (it’s so Blush-y) but I like it enough. ‘Di ka pa nadalaaaa!
White Houses – Vanessa Carlton
High school bop! 🙂
Beautiful Days – Kyla
I remember playing this song during crunch time in the college paper’s office and a colleague looked at me and asked, “Naka-drugs ka ba??”
Crash Into Me – Dave Matthews Band
Do people really hate the Dave Matthews Band? I don’t get it. I think “Grace is Gone” is one of the saddest break-up songs ever written (excuse me please / one more driiiink). “Crash Into Me” is good too. Hmm.
Five Years – Sugar Hiccup
Wuw oldies.
Sa ‘Yo Pa Rin – Glaiza De Castro
Ang ganda nito! The entire Synthesis album is dope, akshali.
The Weather Report – Cynthia Alexander
Another high school bop. 🙂
Photographs – Chloe Jane
I discovered this song last year (two years ago?) when I was going through a break-up. I’ve moved on, obviously, because I don’t even remember when it happened exactly.
Paris – The 1975
Uy gusto ko rin ‘to! Ganda rin ng album title: I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it. Kilig! ❤
Feel Your Weight (Poolside Remix) – Rhye, Poolside
I like both Poolside and Rhye but I only heard about their collaboration because of Bess Clef — you really have to visit her page if you want to discover dope music.
Ang Huling El Bimbo – Eraserheads
Nakakaindak, nakakaaliw, nakakatindig balahibo. ‘Lang masabi? Haha.
Brick – Ben Folds Five
Apparently this song is about the time when Ben Folds’ girlfriend had to go through an abortion. 😦
Sober – Childish Gambino
Why am I listening to this? Hmm.
