Baked Salmon with Ginger and Oyster Sauce

I was fairly productive yesterday. I finished reading one book, I completed two assignments, I wrote one article, and I cooked Baked Salmon with Ginger and Oyster Sauce.*

This fillet of salmon is way cheaper than the shrimp from the other day. The recipe — if I may call it that — is also relatively easier than the buttered shrimp’s. All I did was slather oyster sauce all over the fish, sprinkle grated ginger on top, then pop it in the oven for 18 minutes at 350’ F.

This dish is perfect for busy days. It is quick and easy** and it has salmon so it’s guaranteed to be tasty. Clearly I’m a huge salmon stan. When baked this way, the salmon flesh becomes so soft and moist that the savory flavors melt together in my mouth. Masiram!

If, by any chance, you feel like trying this dish out, do note that I did not bake the salmon directly on the baking tray. I layered my baking tray with aluminum foil and I sprayed the foil with cooking spray before placing the salmon on it. I am also in charge of washing the dishes, that’s why.

*I also cooked sinigang na pompano but I didn’t take a picture of it. I just used powdered mix anyway.

**Making this dish is easy if you have an oven and if you have the funds to buy salmon. #checkingmyprivilege #hehehe
