Even if we’re talking metaphysics, I’d still say there’s a reason for everything. When shit happens, sometimes I just chalk it up to the Universe’s great, grand plan.

It’s not something I’ve given much thought but, sure, why not.

Has anyone you’ve known claimed to be psychic?
I had a teacher in high school who was into New Age shit, and he claimed to know how to “read” palms. He did what a manghuhula in Quiapo would do, except he had a BA from UP and his day job did not involve selling voodoo trinkets and bottles of pamparegla.
During recess, Sir R would teach us the basics of palmistry, like which lines correspond to how long one would live and which mounds indicate how active one’s sex life can be. He also did individual palm readings, and he specifically told me that the creases on my palms read like I will never, ever find contentment in life. Hayyy.

I mean, just based on my general disposition for the past twenty years — yeah, he probably got it right. 🤷♀️
Is anything annoying you right now?
I’m annoyed by how small my desk is. I only have one desk, and it is both my office table and my dinner table. It’s too small, and I’m the type that takes up a lot of space when I work. Pfrrrttt.

Anxiety? Sadness? Maybe sadness more than anxiety. I am sad most of the time, or maybe I just tend to fetishize my sadness a lot. Ay ewan.

I used to think I didn’t have any, but now I’m fairly certain I do.

I would say so, yeah, but only because I tend to forget easily, too. I’m not the type who holds grudges. Kahit nga utang sa akin, nakakalimutan ko.
In what part of your life so far have you learned the most about yourself?
Hmmm. It’s hard to say because I like to think that I am constantly learning shit about myself. If I had to pinpoint a specific time frame, I’d say post-high school era (including today).
Have you ever been in a fist fight?
Sort of. When we were kids, my brother and I physically fought a lot. I was more of a kicker though, so fists weren’t thrown from my end.
Are your ears pierced?
My parents had them pierced when I was a kid, but they allowed me to wear jewelry only on special occasions. I didn’t wear earrings on a daily basis until I was in my late teens. A friend and I got drunk and he wanted to get a tattoo, but I wasn’t that drunk so we got piercings instead.
It didn’t take long before I got rid of the earrings though. I just never got comfortable with them.

“Bye Ma, ingat tabi pirmi.” I call my parents every night haha.
What are you waiting on?
For my boss to have some free time so they can train me and get me up to speed with the other tasks that need to be done. I have nothing much to do today, and it’s quite challenging being a newbie at a time when everybody works from home. If we were all in the office, I would listen in on other people’s conversations and find a way to automate some of the menial tasks just to pass the time. I don’t have that option now. I can’t even “shadow” other people because we’re all far away from each other. Haayyy.
Do you tell people when they get on your nerves?
I just ignore them until they catch the drift.
Are your feelings hurt easily?
I worry easily, if that counts. For instance, I feel bad when my boss does not assign me anything to do but they delegate tasks to other new hires. Is it because I’m not good enough? Am I not smart enough? Hayyy.
What’s the most expensive piece of clothing you have? Did you buy it yourself?
Probably the Barça kit that was given to me by an old friend.

Here in Canada, I’d say H. Back in the Philippines, probably K, V, and G.
How do you think your first relationship shaped who you are as a partner now?
I low-key feel that that first relationship shouldn’t even count, choz. Anyhow, I think it taught me how to become more direct in verbalizing what I feel. (This may also have something to do with growing older and becoming semi-sorta-kinda wiser.)

Same sex? You mean female? That’s super broad! Off the top of my head, I can think of Diane Nguyen from Bojack Horseman and Frances Ha from, well, Frances Ha.
Were you popular in high school? What was your reputation like?
I wasn’t popular at all, but I went to a small school so everybody knew of each other. I don’t think I had a reputation necessarily. If I did, the other kids probably saw me as the token maldita who liked butting heads with the teachers and the other adults.

I guess I just knew? I identify as heterosexual though, so I didn’t have any serious struggles about my sexual orientation.
What was the hardest part of your last break up?
Getting over the denial stage and accepting the fact that it is over. Like, super super finally over. It’s over, final answer! Hahaha.

I’m pretty sure I’m still in it.
