I changed my blog’s appearance last week. I decided to go for a theme that makes my blog look like a blog instead of, I don’t know — a magazine? A portfolio?
Anyway, this new look reminds me of blogs from the 2010s, even the aughts. It’s simple; it works on text-heavy entries; it’s clean. I love it.

I recently got a 13″ iPad Air. My new theme looks a lot better on the iPad. The image grid on my previous theme made the photos appear blurry on Home, which I didn’t like, hence the change.

Where were you when you learned about the results of the recent US elections?
I was in bed. I just woke up. The first thing I searched on my phone was “US election results.” Dear lord. If only I had waited until I got to work, my morning wouldn’t have been such a letdown.

Have you thought about how Trump’s return to power would impact your life? I think about it every now and then, unfortunately.
Trump had been loud in his intentions to reverse Biden’s climate policies, including the ongoing moratorium on LNG exports. I suppose none of these words mean anything to anyone who’s far removed from the energy and environment sectors, but they matter to me. And I’m sure that whatever field you’re in, wherever you are, the ripples of US politics will reach the shores of your industry and alter its course in ways you won’t see.

My friends and I are having Korean barbecue in a bit. I think we’re doing AYCE or all-you-can-eat, a phrase that I still bungle to this day because, in the Philippines, it’s eat-all-you-can. Both expressions capture the concept of paying a flat fee for an unlimited amount of food, but I think the Filipino version makes more grammatical sense. Or does it? Maybe not. I don’t know.

Instead of getting ready for dinner, here I am writing this post. Sometimes I wish I was the type who enjoys looking put together whenever I go outside the house. The type who at least puts on make-up, styles their hair, and wears clothes that look effortlessly chic (which of course requires a lot of effort). Instead I normally just go for sweater and jeans, no make-up, and a messy bun. Oh well.

I ended up putting on a little bit of make up, but I didn’t wear anything fancy. Just a pair of yellow wide leg pants and a brown long-sleeved shirt. Korean barbecue isn’t worth dressing up for anyway. My friends and I also went to karaoke after dinner, but we got overbilled. Ugh. There’s no way in hell I’m going back to that karaoke place again.
