There’s a song called “Charm Me” that has less than 1000 views on YouTube, and I’m pretty sure 500 of those are from me. I’m also pretty sure this song was sponsored by a sanitary pad company (based on the title lol).
Anyway, I haven’t had the time and/or the energy to sit down and write a meatier post, so here I am doing this word vomit brain dump shit again. Hah.
I think I’m over Ego Death now, and I’m about to be on the OR3 train. I listened to OR’s Popcast interview while working out the other day, and I was high-key jealous that the two hosts had already listened to the entire album. I wanted to be in on the conversation too! June 12 let’s go!
Until then, I’ll probably have random songs on repeat. This afternoon, for instance, I had “Mexico Honey” on repeat for about two hours. It’s quite a dumb song, not gonna lie. “I mean, for real / what the hell” are actual lyrics – I mean…for real…what the hell? But it’s catchy, so I like it. I like dumb and catchy.
Today, while working out after work today, I had “Never Going Back Again” playing again and again and again. I toggled the repeat button off before I hit the shower so I could jam to the rest of Rumours. Warm shower + Rumours = good vibes.
It’s one of my annoying habits, listening to the same song on repeat forever and ever and ever (or until I get sick of it lol). I personally don’t find it annoying – I love it that’s why I do it – but it’s not…normal, I guess? Like when I’m driving with my friends, I can’t just put the same song on loop, can I? It’s weird.
(I’m only on 295 words god damn.)
Okay, so, reading what I’ve written so far, I see that I haven’t been including the artists’ names. If you know exactly the songs and albums I’ve mentioned – dope. It means you and I probably have the same playlists and/or the same algorithm lol.
If you have absolutely no idea what those albums and songs are – and for whatever reason you’re still reading this (aww) – here ya go:
Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party is an album by Hayley Williams, the same queen who sings for Paramore.
OR3 stands for Olivia Rodrigo 3, i.e., the third studio album of popstar Olivia Rodrigo, a.k.a. you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.
“Mexico Honey” is the most recent single (I think) of pop-country singer Kacey Musgraves.
“Never Going Back Again” is a song from the album Rumours by Fleetwood Mac. One of my favorite albums of all time, I think. Depends on the day, maybe. I dunno.
And somehow, after writing all that down, I am still several words short of 500.
Ooo, another song that I had on repeat (for days!) not too long ago was “Beautiful Mistakes” by Maroon 5 feat. Megan Thee Stallion. I’m holding on I’m holding on I’m holding ooooon.
(Feel free to recommend me songs! I love song reco’s!)
(Ciao y’all!)
